My goal is to offer quality editing services that authors can afford so that their published work can have the best opportunity possible to be judged by the reader based on the merits of the story and the author’s style of writing.

No one should ever get a bad review or a refund request because the reader wasn’t able to even determine if they liked the story or not due to errors keeping them from suspending reality and getting lost in it. I also believe as Indie authors, we owe it to ourselves and to our readers to publish books that are indistinguishable from books published by the big publishing houses.

We have an amazing opportunity to make our books available and to let the readers decide if we have what it takes to please them – without having to pray that we don’t languish unnoticed in a slush pile, or only go from the slush pile to the trash bin because of a typo. We can have our work read and we can build a fan base now – if we’re good enough. It’s entirely up to us, our skill and the presentation of our craft.

Everyone loses if we don’t do a good job. Writing is the hardest part of that job. If you’ve got that part down, editing should just be a formality; a necessary evil, if you must. It shouldn’t be the thing that kills your chance at reaching the reader.

Ernest Hemingway said, “There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.”

Let the writing be the hardest (and the best) part of the job of being a writer. When you’re done bleeding and the book is ready for the next step, get your book edited, get a really good cover, then share your gift with the readers – without whom, we’d be nothing.
